Gardeners, neighbors, staff and long-time community members of the CID gather around the pig to share stories and food. The event begins Friday evening when the pig is prepped and mounted onto the spit.
For the next 12-15 hours, through the wee hours of the night and into Saturday morning, volunteers take shifts rotating the pig over the fire. Community members gather to enjoy their delicious lunch together, potluck style with contributions from all those that attend.
Saturday 7/13 at 11am is when the pig is cut and served. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE.

C-ID Monthly Community Clean-Up

Join us for the Chinatown-International District Business Improvement Area (CIDBIA)'s monthly C-ID Community Clean-Up. Volunteers meet in Hing Hay Park on the second Saturday of every month from 10AM-12PM.
We’ll work on litter pick-up in areas with the highest amount of waste based on the CIDBIA sanitation team’s recommendations across Chinatown, Japantown, and Little Saigon. The supplies and list of areas with a map will be provided upon arrival.
Please meetup in Hing Hay Park (423 Maynard Ave S, Seattle, WA 98104) before 9:55am.

Summer is just around the corner! Our Food Walk summer series is back on the 3rd Saturday of June, July and August! 6/15, 7/20, and 8/17 from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
Find $4, $6, and $8 offerings from restaurants and cafes across the CID and shop from local retailers. Food Walk is a great way to stuff your bellies and support various neighborhood businesses.
Stop by our information booth at Hing Hay Park during those dates to pick up a physical menu. Map out your route and enjoy delicious bites along the way!

Chinatown Seafair Parade

Seafair is the biggest summer celebration in the Pacific Northwest; spanning 10 weeks, featuring 40+ events, and reaching more than two million people each year! During the event series, Seattle plays host to family-friendly activities including the Torchlight Parade, 4th of July fireworks at Gasworks Park, and Seafair Weekend featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and Hydroplane races on Lake Washington!
The Greater Seattle Chinese Chamber of Commerce organizes the annual Chinatown Seafair Parade, sanctioned Seafair event. The parade features lion and dragon dances, the Seattle Chinese Girls Drill Team, and many more local community groups from the Greater Seattle area.
